Chivas Contributes 3 Players to Javier Aguirre's First Call-Up List

Aguirre Announces 38-Man Squad

Guadalajara, Jalisco - Chivas de Guadalajara is contributing three players to new Mexico manager Javier Aguirre's first call-up as Mexico prepares for a pair of international friendlies against Peru and Colombia.

Defender Gilberto Sepulveda and midfielders Fernando Beltran and Roberto Alvarado are the three Chivas players who will join the 35-man squad.

Sepulveda Earns First Senior National Team Call-Up

Sepulveda has been a regular starter for Chivas and has impressed with his performances at club level. This will be his first call-up to the senior national team.

Beltran Earns Second Cap

Beltran has one previous cap for Mexico, which came in a friendly against Chile in 2021. He has also been a regular starter for Chivas and has been in good form this season.

Alvarado Returns to National Team

Alvarado has been capped 29 times by Mexico and has scored four goals for his country. He last played for Mexico in a friendly against Ecuador in 2022.

Mexico will face Peru at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, on Saturday, September 24 and Colombia at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on Tuesday, September 27.
